We are seeking a skilled professional to join our kitchen team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a hotel environment, full working rights in Australia, and the ability to lead and mentor a small team.
This is a part-time role offering up to 30 hours per week over breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the shift with hands-on cooking and food preparation, assisting senior chefs with menu preparation, and maintaining excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
Responsibilities:- Lead junior kitchen team members to ensure service demands are met
- Assist with implementing and maintaining programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchens
- Set a positive example and support continuous learning and collaborative relationships within the team
- Must have full Australian working rights and availability to work up to 30 hours per week on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel industry
- Relevant trade qualification and food safety certification
