Job Title: Grain Terminal Worker

The Grain Terminal Worker plays a vital role in the handling and movement of grain at our facility. This position is perfect for individuals who are team-oriented, safety-minded, and enjoy working outdoors.

This worker will be responsible for ensuring grain is received, handled, and maintained within receival standards. Ensuring grain loaded on export vessels is correct, free of contaminants, and within specifications is also a key responsibility.

Maintaining a high standard of hygiene across the site is crucial as is maintaining a safe working area for all employees and customers.

A critical component of this role is the ability to work in a team and have strong communication skills. We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, hands-on individuals who are willing to undertake and acquire basic machinery skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure grain is received, handled, and maintained within receival standards
  • Ensure grain loaded on export vessels is correct, free of contaminants, and within specifications
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene across the site
  • Receive instructions for the collection, preparation, testing, and storage of grain samples
  • Maintain a safe working area for all employees and customers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, hands-on, and enjoys working outdoors

  • Ability to work in a team and have strong communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Willingness to undertake and acquire basic machinery skills and experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, use compressed air lances, and in areas of high grain dust concentration
  • Desirable tickets: HR licence, front end loader ticket, confined space, working at heights
