Advanced Practice Specialist Nursing Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Specialist Nurse to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for the designated speciality in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, support and supervision for less experienced clinicians to achieve people-focused quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specialist Nursing Care: Using best practice evidence, provide specialist nursing care to patients with complex needs.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and support to less experienced clinicians.
  • Task Delegation: Supervise and delegate tasks to ensure effective delivery of care.
  • Individualised Care Plans: Develop and implement individualised care plans that meet patient needs.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Registration: Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Qualifications: Relevant post-registration qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drugs with a minimum of three years' experience working in the clinical speciality.
  • Competencies: Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in providing speciality nursing care.
  • Leadership: Ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision-making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
