Wildlife Biologist for Small Forest Landowner Office

The Department of Natural Resources has a vacancy in our Small Forest Landowner Office. This position is for a wildlife biologist who appreciates the outdoors and wants to work in a remote natural environment.
- We are looking for someone with practical wildlife biology skills, experience working as part of a team, and good communication skills.
- This position provides guidance to small forest landowners related to the effects of forestland management activities on fish and wildlife habitats.
This includes assisting them with understanding and applying the Forest Practices riparian rules and helping with the preparation of Forest Practices Applications (FPAs).
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wildlife biology.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
This is a full-time, permanent position with partial telework flexibility available. The salary range is $62,092 - $83,524 per year.
