Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fish and Wildlife Biologist to join our team in the Small Forest Landowner Office. As a wildlife biologist, you will provide guidance to staff and small forest landowners on the effects of forestland management activities on fish and wildlife habitats.

Your primary duties will include consulting with small forest landowners to help them prepare for forest practice activities, including preparing Forest Practices Applications (FPAs) and assisting with the application process. You will also work closely with our team to ensure that small forest landowners have the necessary information and support to make informed decisions about their forest land.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a remote natural environment, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the conservation of Washington State's natural resources.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to small forest landowners on forest practice activities and fish and wildlife habitats.
  • Consult with small forest landowners to help them prepare for forest practice activities, including preparing FPAs and assisting with the application process.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement strategies for improving communication and coordination with small forest landowners.
