The primary goal of this role is to inspect the construction of Electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems assets for roadworks projects to Transport and Main Roads' (DTMR) quality specifications & standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards, and specifications to read, understand, and interpret technical documents & standards;
  • Prepare written documents including daily diary, submissions/reports, and test results;
  • Communicate effectively with the Contractor and/or Contract Administrators, Senior Engineers or Principals Representatives, and keep them informed of progress and quality of works; and
  • Provide effective administration, surveillance, and recording of documentation generated during the construction, including photos;

Mandatory Experience:

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years' extensive practical experience in road construction projects and at least 5 as an Electrical / ITS Inspector.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management, and email;
  • A valid driver's license and access to own transport to/from home to site;
  • Preference for own laptop and mobile phone;
  • Ability to relocate to SEQLD or willingness to do so;

Estimated Salary Range: AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
