Job Summary

The Resources Hub is seeking a highly skilled HSE Advisor to join our team for an Iron Ore project in Western Australia. As a key member of our Safety, Health and Training Department, you will be responsible for maintaining effective safety, health and training programs, ensuring a high standard of record keeping, and monitoring workplace safety through inspections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and implement safety, health and training programs to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely
  • Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective safety management system

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, including experience in a remote FIFO environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining industry
  • Valid White Card and Driver's Licence
  • LABDAS and Pre-employment Medical completed within the last 12 months
  • Recognised qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
  • Current First aid and CPR certification

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of mining and minerals processing operations
  • Experience in incident investigations, workplace inspections and audits
  • Knowledge of induction and safety training programs and initiatives
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
