Job Description

The Northern Beaches Hospital Vascular Surgery service is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Unaccredited Trainee to join our dynamic and innovative clinical community. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our vascular surgery service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical assessments and management advice for patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Provide operative care and assistance on patients in theatres during rostered hours and while on call.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of two years with progress towards career goals in Vascular Surgery.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.

We deliver a full range of vascular diagnostic, interventional endovascular, and traditional arterial and venous reconstructive surgery, working closely with Royal North Shore Hospital to ensure highly-specialised care, if required.
