ICT Support Officer Job Description

Direct IT requires the services of an ICT Support Officer to accurately record, administer and manage the lifecycle of assets and software licenses through our ICT asset management system.

This is a full-time position with a wide range of responsibilities including maintaining ICT knowledge base with system documentation, procedures and help sheets. Proactive monitoring of system security patches and malware updates will be required to ensure currency and correct deployment. Administering backup and recovery operations by maintaining and monitoring backup equipment and data will also be a key task.

The successful candidate will undertake tasks such as analyzing backup issues, reporting findings to ICT Manager, undertaking web or system development as required, regularly backing up and managing client internet sites, ensuring security patches for modules are tested on the test site prior to updating the live site, producing and running system and network monitoring reports and utilities, accurately administering and managing the Helpdesk system and processes, providing client support to users and responding to assigned job requests in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in ICT support role.
