We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Lead to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI, cloud, and mission-critical infrastructure development. Our company is trusted by global hyperscalers, major multinationals, and a significant portion of the Australian Federal Government.

The successful candidate will take a lead technical role in the design and delivery of new and expansion data centre builds, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and consultants to deliver concept design, feasibility, and construction-stage support.

  • Taking charge of designing and delivering new and expansion data centre builds;
  • Reporting to the GM to help create and build a new team;
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, clients, and consultants to deliver project outcomes;
  • Elevating customer requirements into engineering solutions;
  • Influencing future site acquisitions, design optimisation, and electrical strategy aligned with leading-edge technology;
  • Contributing to proposals, tenders, and load balancing models, while advising on redundancy and resiliency;
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in electrical engineering (data centre or mission-critical);
  • Expertise in LV & HV systems, UPS, diesel generators, switchgear, PDUs, STS/ATS systems and power distribution;
  • A strong understanding of relevant codes, technical standards, and compliance in critical environments;
  • Experience managing consultants and challenging designs to achieve the best outcomes for cost, performance, and client objectives;
