Job Opportunity: Kitchen Support Specialist\

Our restaurant is seeking a skilled and experienced kitchen professional to join our team in Western Australia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy kitchen.

\Key Responsibilities:\

  • Clean and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.\
  • Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, assembly, and presentation.\
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.\
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.\
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily menu preparation targets.\
  • Prepare equipment for regular cleaning and ensure it is stored safely when not in use.\
  • Effectively communicate with other kitchen staff members to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines.\
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.\
  • Comply with health and safety procedures at all times.\
  • Adhere to restaurant policies and procedures.\
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by management.\
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and standards.\
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.\
  • Support other kitchen staff during periods of high volume or special events.\
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and supervisors.\
  • Actively seek feedback from managers and colleagues to improve performance.\
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets through effective service delivery.\
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
\Requirements:\

  • A minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen setting.\
  • Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.\
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.\
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.\
  • A valid Working with Children Check.\
  • A current First Aid Certificate.\
  • The ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods.\
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.\
  • Basic computer skills.\
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills.
