
Chief Payroll Administrator

As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations for a large organisation within the mining sector. Your comprehensive records of payroll transactions will ensure compliance with relevant laws and organisational policies.
The successful applicant should have a degree in accounting, finance or a related field, and demonstrated knowledge of payroll legislation and industry awards. Proven experience in a similar role within the mining industry is preferred.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll legislation and taxation requirements
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions
- Liaise regularly with internal departments and external entities
A strong understanding of Australian payroll and payroll tax is essential, as well as proficiency in Pronto. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required, along with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Required Skills and QualificationsWhile not exhaustive, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:
- Accounting, finance or a related degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll legislation and industry awards
- Proven experience in a similar role within the mining industry
