About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or graduate primary teacher to join our team and contribute to the education and development of students.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs to students across various age groups, developing their skills and abilities in literacy, numeracy, social science, creative expression, and physical education.

The role involves presenting prescribed curriculum using a range of teaching techniques and materials, guiding discussions and supervising work in class, preparing and marking tests and assignments, and maintaining discipline in classrooms and other school areas.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognized completed initial teacher education qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent;
  • An undergraduate degree and a post-graduate teaching qualification;
  • A current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance;
  • A current Working with Children Check;
  • Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements;
  • Complete the Department's Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course;
  • Complete the Department's induction program within three months of commencement;
  • Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
