Senior Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking an accomplished senior electrical engineer with advanced expertise in electrical engineering to lead a small team in delivering complex engineering solutions for projects.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Lead a team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions within project requirements, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Demonstrate exceptional engineering skills across multiple areas of competency, managing concurrent projects effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop and refine project scopes as needed.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the team, including mentoring junior engineers.
  • Take ownership of team performance, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget compliance.
  • Design and produce electrical solutions meeting project specifications, timelines, and budgets, reporting to the Principal Engineer and/or Project Manager.
About You
  • The ideal candidate will be based in Launceston with unrestricted Australian work rights.
  • Holding a degree in Electrical Engineering with over five years of experience in automation, Defence, energy, utilities, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Eligible for state-based registration as an electrical engineer.
  • Proven knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Leadership or management experience in design roles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A willingness to support mid-level engineers transitioning into senior roles.
