Water Engineering Project Manager Role

As a seasoned Water Engineering project manager, you will oversee the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects from inception to completion. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will enable you to manage teams effectively and drive projects forward.

  • Lead project delivery teams in achieving client commitments and building trust with key stakeholders
  • Manage major water & wastewater projects from initial concept to detailed design and construction phases

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising junior staff and providing mentorship opportunities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated design approaches
  • Developing and implementing project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Providing specialist technical input to feasibility studies and conceptual designs
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
  • Overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, including hydraulic models, design calculations, and technical drawings
  • Coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, constructors, and regulatory bodies to achieve project objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in municipal water & wastewater infrastructure planning and project management
  • Expertise in water and wastewater network modeling
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of success
  • Project management certification (PMP) or equivalent
  • Ability to contribute to business development activities, pursuing new clients and projects
