About the Role

Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager with a background in the hotel industry to drive growth and establish vital relationships within the Wholesale, Corporates, and Sports targets.

This is a pivotal role in our Sales & Marketing team, where you will play a key part in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account Acquisition and Management

Generate and nurture new business opportunities, as well as cultivate existing relationships, contributing to the annual Sales & Marketing Plan across all portfolios, with a strong focus on Wholesale, Inbound, and Sports segments, in alignment with the hotel budget.

Revenue Growth and Target Achievement

Work directly with relevant industries to attain and surpass annual budgeted revenue targets, ensuring the hotel's financial goals are met.

Sales and Marketing Planning

Collaborate in formulating the annual Sales & Marketing Plan for all markets, ensuring the achievement of targets specified in the hotel budget, including individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Relationship Building and Maintenance

Foster and maintain strong business relationships to meet Wholesale, Corporate, and Sports targets, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Sales Calls and Communication

Conduct targeted sales calls to key accounts on a weekly basis, ensuring that Reservations, Accounts, and relevant departments are well-informed about contracted rates for new clients.

Yield Management and Productivity

Adhere to Yield management principles to maximize productivity and profitability for Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood.

Reporting and Campaign Development

Assist in the compilation of the Sales and Marketing weekly report (internal) and develop and execute strategic campaigns to bolster business levels throughout the year.

Client Communication and Engagement

Effectively communicate new offers and products to both existing and potential clients in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Proven Experience in Business Development

A background in Business Development, preferably within the hotel industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and establishing strong business relationships.

Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Strong Negotiation and Relationship-Building Abilities

Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding customer base.

Results-Driven with a Track Record of Meeting or Exceeding Sales Targets
