At Code Camp, we're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to deliver our coding and Minecraft lessons to kids after school.

About the Position:

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences that inspire young minds. Your primary duties will include:

  • Delivering and implementing lesson plans designed to develop coding skills and creativity in children.
  • Establishing a safe and supportive learning environment, fostering positive relationships with students, and actively supervising them during classes.
  • Setting up and packing away equipment provided by us, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
  • Engaging with students in a fun and inclusive manner, encouraging their participation and curiosity.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of our programs and providing support as needed.
  • Staying connected with our Head Office via Slack to address any queries or concerns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We're looking for someone who possesses:

  • A strong passion for technology and education, with experience working with children (ages 5-12) preferred.
  • Tech-savviness, including troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic coding knowledge, preferably drag-and-drop or block coding.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling confidence in speaking in front of small groups of children and delivering lesson plans in an engaging way.
  • Maturity, common sense, and the ability to identify and mitigate risks within the classroom environment.
  • Fluent conversational English.
  • An Employee Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one immediately.
  • A laptop with HDMI connectivity (which you may need to provide).
