Sustain Recruit, a leading e-commerce distributor, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a 6-month contract with the potential for a permanent role. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for accuracy in managing accounts payable.

About the Role:

  • Manage the Accounts Payable Inbox efficiently, handling incoming emails, inquiries, and documents related to accounts payable tasks
  • Process Supplier Invoices for Purchase Orders accurately, following company policies and procedures
  • Handle Service Provider Invoices promptly and with precision, ensuring timely payment processing
  • Reconcile Supplier Statements regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare Payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments, maintaining high accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure Timely and Accurate Processing of high-volume invoices to meet payment deadlines and sustain vendor relationships
  • Support Ad-Hoc Tasks as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager or supervisors

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate records and reports, utilizing tools like spreadsheets and databases to track payments and reconciliations
  2. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and increase productivity
  3. Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve team goals and objectives
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements impacting accounts payable processes
