Laboratory Technician Position

Wagners is expanding its Construction Materials Laboratory division and is looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to contribute to our operations.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to enhance their expertise while working with a leading company in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting sampling of concrete and aggregates following established and approved protocols
  • Executing tests in compliance with Australian Standards and the relevant Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads methodologies
  • Coordinating daily field testing activities
  • Preparing and sending out documentation
  • Maintaining precise records of samples and test outcomes
  • Ensuring adherence to project specifications, procedures, and systems through effective sampling and testing/calibrations
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancements and reporting non-conformance issues

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience and knowledge in construction materials testing and concrete sampling (essential)
  • Cert III or IV in Laboratory Techniques (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with management, clients, and team members
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure
  • Valid Manual Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Construction card (essential)
