Director of Strategic Governance

We are seeking expressions of interest for an additional voluntary director who will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and governance of our organisation.
With over 70 years of experience in supporting people with disabilities, we have become a leader in empowering individuals to live rich and meaningful lives in inclusive communities.
Key Responsibilities- A commitment to community service and the not-for-profit sector is essential.
- Understanding operating in regional areas is highly valued.
- Experience in governance, including ability to relate to diverse stakeholders and willingness to help lead and grow the organisation, is critical.
While legal or ITC backgrounds are welcome, they are not essential. We encourage applications from candidates with diverse qualifications, skills, and experiences.
Meeting Schedule and TermsMonthly board meetings are conducted on weekdays, usually starting at 5:30 pm, in Lismore NSW, with teleconference facilities available. A one-day strategy session takes place twice a year.
Appointment terms are for 3 years, with the option to extend further. We value diversity and encourage applications from Indigenous, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
