We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Rigid Driver and Batcher to join our team at Hy-Tec.

The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and delivering pre-mixed concrete to our customer sites as well as supporting the batching team with allocating and scheduling jobs as and when required.

About the Role:

This is a full-time fixed-term position available for an initial period of 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
  2. Deliver concrete to clients' sites
  3. Manage concrete slump tolerance levels and the discharge of concrete
  4. Complete basic documentation associated with the collection and delivery of concrete
  5. Maintain professional customer relationships
  6. Maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition
  7. Represent the Hy-Tec brand and provide excellent phone-based customer service
  8. Take orders and finalise the sale of pre-mixed concrete for delivery
  9. Batch concrete to specific mix designs via a computerized system
  10. Undertake general duties including plant cleaning and housekeeping

Requirements:

  1. Current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's license
  2. A Manual Licence holder (strongly preferred)
  3. Strong commitment to health and safety
  4. Relevant concrete industry experience will be highly regarded however full training will be provided
  5. Flexibility to work in a small team environment and assist with other duties as required
  6. Current white card
  7. A reliable team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customers
  8. Computer Literacy skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
