**In this role, you'll**:
Provide a specialist surveillance capability in a wide-ranging skill set including Electrical, Communications Network, equipment installation works, WHS management and program monitoring. You’ll be expected to lead highly complex or specialist surveillance activities on nominated contract works for the administration of construction works to ensure delivery in accordance with client time, quality and scope requirements.

Key accountabilities include:

- Providing a specialist, non-routine surveillance capability in support of Agency works to verify that work has been performed in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and processes.
- Monitoring, supporting and influencing development/delivery partner progress against agreed milestones and deliverables to support the Agency’s program of work.
- Coaching and mentoring less experienced Surveillance Officer, engineering and project staff to reinforce best-practice surveillance and project practices within their sphere of influence.
- Acting as a source of technical advice for trades, engineering and project staff within their area of specialisation to build capability and improve project and/ or maintenance outcomes.

This is a temporary full-time role up to 24 months. The home base is Tweed Heads, and some travel may be required on occasion.

**About you**
To be considered for this role you will be in possession of current Supervisor’s (Electrical) Certificate or equivalent certification and have solid experience in electronics, instrumentation, control systems, and SCADA.

Additionally, you’ll have experience in the site management of contractors, and the coordination of multiple multi-disciplinary contractors on site. Advanced knowledge and experience in standards and policies regarding Electrical Installations, Confined Space and Hazardous Areas, and ITS Systems is required.

Experience in bridge, road, or tunnel related maintenance, capital works and safety and environmental management is highly desirable.

You have demonstrated ability to source, analyse and interpret project, construction and contract documentation and demonstrated experience in record keeping and document management in a construction or maintenance environment.

You have the ability to work collaboratively and use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong constructive relationships with stakeholders in a construction and/or maintenance environment.

You have experience working on your own and in teams to tight deadlines and have a successful track record in delivering great customer experience outcomes.

You hold a current and valid Australian Motor Vehicle driver’s licence.

You may be required to work outside of normal working hours on occasion, and you may be required to travel throughout the region and work at locations away from home on occasion.
