Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring environmental and administrative compliance across our waste management facilities and services.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and deliver strategic objectives for waste services, including reviewing and implementing the Waste Management & Resource Recovery Strategy.

You will lead projects that deliver great waste outcomes for the community through effective waste minimisation, recycling, and resource recovery initiatives.

Additionally, you will contribute to the procurement and management of waste contracts, provide input into development assessments, support disaster response planning, and ensure we remain aligned with relevant legislation, policies, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with significant experience in waste management and resource recovery or extensive relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge of waste management issues, including compliance with licensed facilities.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and apply critical thinking.
  • Experience working in a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prepare written advice and reports.
