Medical Office Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre Richmond. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our centre and providing exceptional support to our patients, specialists, and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage incoming calls, answer patient inquiries, and schedule appointments with precision and attention to detail.
- Be the warm and welcoming face of our centre, greeting patients with warmth and compassion, and making them feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to strict data protection protocols.
- Utilize your knowledge of Medicare, DVA claims, and medical terminology to assist patients and ensure seamless communication with our clinical team.
- Collaborate with our Workplace Health & Safety Officers to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Experience in a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients, carers, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- A basic understanding of medical terms and procedures, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
