Job Overview

This is a Senior Mental Health Clinician role within a clinical team providing enhanced primary care to young people with complex needs.

The successful candidate will deliver youth-focused mental health care, managing complex cases and coordinating intake, assessment, and referrals for at-risk young people.

You Will Be Expected To:
  • Deliver high-quality mental health services to young people with complex needs.
  • Support Emergency Departments to identify and address barriers to service access for young people at risk of self-harm or suicide.
  • Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders, promote the organization's programs, and engage in community awareness initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, ensure compliance with policies, and contribute to a safe, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Participate in Clinical Review Meetings, research initiatives, and service development activities while supporting team cohesion.

The ideal candidate will have approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive experience in the planning and provision of mental health care.

Key Requirements
  • Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in the planning and provision of mental health care.
  • Demonstrated expertise in service systems, legislation, and government policies related to youth mental health and substance use.
  • Leadership skills, including supervision of staff and leading group interventions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build stakeholder partnerships.
About The Role

This is a full-time, parental leave cover until August 2026.
