Lead Educator Position Overview

Our organisation seeks an experienced Lead Educator to join our team and contribute to the development of our educational programs.

This role involves guiding children's learning and development through engaging, play-based programs, and mentoring and supporting fellow educators.

As a passionate leader, you will foster a positive learning environment, build strong relationships with families, and collaborate with colleagues to develop inspirational educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of educators within a room, focusing on individual development and mentoring to ensure the highest standards of care and supervision.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of our children.
  • Foster a friendly, secure, and stimulating interactive learning environment that encourages children to explore new interests and ask questions.
  • Nurture our team members, empowering them to confidently contribute to our children's learning journeys.
  • Build trusting and honest relationships with children, families, colleagues, management, and community stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with EYLF and NQS standards, aiming to exceed expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working With Children check
  • Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID004) Certificate
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Prior experience as a Lead Educator is essential.
