About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join our NSW Commercial Banking team and manage a portfolio of customers in the $1M - $5M business lending segment. As a trusted financial partner, you'll be responsible for providing industry expertise, credit assessment, and tailored lending solutions to businesses within this segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of business customers, ensuring the development of long-term customer relationships.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and acquire new clients through networking, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, ensuring credit policies and risk management frameworks are adhered to while providing tailored lending solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Handle both directly sourced and broker-introduced business, delivering high-quality service and ensuring smooth collaboration with broker partners.
  • Provide industry expertise and market insights to tailor product solutions, matching business needs with ANZ's suite of products, including lending, deposits, and transactional banking.
  • Work closely with a dedicated Assistant Relationship Manager in a 1:1 support model to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Proactively manage risk across the portfolio by identifying potential issues and developing solutions to minimize exposure and maintain credit quality.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a strategic thinker with a proven track record in commercial banking, experience in managing a portfolio of clients in the $1M - $5M business lending segment, and a deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and risk management. You'll have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate terms with customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
