Culturally-responsive audiology services for Aboriginal clients in Central Australia require a skilled audiologist. This role is suited to a practitioner with clinical experience, strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality audiology services in various settings, prioritising preventative care and early intervention through community engagement, screening, assessment, and management.
- Operate effectively in remote areas, occasional travel required.
- Maintain relationships with Aboriginal clients and staff, communicating sensitively in a cross-cultural environment.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Essential Requirements- A recognised qualification in audiology (full membership with Audiology Australia or Ordinary membership with the Australian College of Audiology).
- Broad clinical experience in primary health care, with skills in planning, coordinating, and decision-making within a clinical setting.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, including liaison and negotiation abilities.
- An understanding of Aboriginal health, social determinants, and Community Control principles.
- Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, suitable for cross-cultural communication.
