Geospatial Data Analyst

We're looking for a skilled Geospatial Data Analyst to join our team.

About the role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with spatial data, delivering meaningful environmental, agricultural, and economic outcomes across multiple projects. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll play an integral part in the delivery of geospatial outcomes and deliverables. You will lead the spatial design of environmental projects at different scales and across various landscapes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Solving complex environmental project challenges by employing GIS interpretation techniques and software to analyze spatial and non-spatial data.
  • Creating high-quality spatial outputs (maps, data sets, etc.), leveraging data analysis and insights to support monitoring, reporting, and overall project performance.
  • Working collaboratively with your peers to assist with the preparation of data, reports, presentations, and/or response to environmental project RFIs and audits.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating/maintaining best practices and standard operating procedures with respect to geospatial workflows and deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in remote sensing, geospatial science, GIS, or physical science with specific coursework or relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years working as a Geospatial Analyst as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and application of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) and image analysis tools (e.g., ENVI).
  • Proficiency in some programming languages i.e., R, Python.
  • Skilled at defining and analyzing complex problems across various project settings, with a focus on achieving project outcomes.
  • Experience in managing and delivering end-to-end complex geospatial projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously, having the ability to prioritize workload and adapt to revised deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who can also work autonomously with minimal guidance.
  • Clear and effective communication (written and verbal) to inform, influence, and impact both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong work ethic with drive and passion for positive environmental outcomes.
