Northern Beaches Hospital is a 488-bed facility, located in Frenchs Forest, approximately 13 kilometers north of the Sydney CBD. The hospital operates as a contemporary healthcare provider, catering to both public and private patients. Our services include Surgery, Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre, and Outpatients.

We have 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories, and four endoscopy procedure rooms. Our critical care unit comprises two intensive care wards, ensuring seamless patient care.

About the Role

Ward 6D is an adult general medical ward with 30 beds, featuring 20 double rooms with en-suite facilities and 10 single rooms, including one negative pressure room and one bariatric room with a ceiling hoist.

As an experienced nurse, you will join our team caring for patients with geriatric, renal, endocrine, and neuro conditions. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work effectively within a high-functioning team
  • Flexibility with shift allocations and a willingness to work a rotating roster
