Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality occupational therapy services to clients across various sites. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating medical histories and functional abilities of patients
  • Developing treatment plans based on medical diagnoses
  • Mobilizing and manipulating muscles and joints
  • Providing treatment using OT and rehabilitation equipment
  • Giving patients exercises to strengthen motor abilities
  • Keeping updated patient records detailing all therapy provided
  • Adjusting plans and prescribing new treatment as needed
  • Community-based work with travel and varied client types across all ages
Skill Development:

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing skills in self-care, self-management, home management, and community/work/school reintegration. They will also provide education and support to individuals, including family members, caregivers, and others, through collaborative and consultative partnerships and family-centred approaches.
