The Role

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Early Years service, you will be responsible for delivering supports to families and children with developmental delays or disabilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and observations to identify developmental issues and create tailored support plans
  • Providing coaching and guidance to families and caregivers on strategies to support child development
  • Connecting children and families with community resources and services
  • Maintaining accurate records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Expert knowledge of child development and the ability to identify developmental issues
  • A proven track record of supporting families and children with developmental delays or disabilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles
