As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading internal and external HSE audit and assurance activities across the organization, including self-insurance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead internal and external HSE audit and assurance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with self-insurance and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and enhance in-house HSE systems.
  • Develop, plan, and schedule audit tools.
  • Provide training and education to the HSE team.
  • Conduct regulatory audits and manage workers' compensation self-insurance.
  • Work consultatively with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Influence and drive positive change within the HSE framework.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of HSE legislation, industry and management system standards.
  • Current experience working in an HSE audit, assurance, or systems position.
  • Experience within transport, logistics, or heavy industry is desirable.
  • Ability to travel (roughly twice per month) across Australia.
  • Experience with supporting multiple sites or a geographically diverse business is desirable.
  • A sound understanding of operational issues and challenges faced by line managers in implementing HSE processes and programs.
  • A consultative approach and ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders.
