Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct support, personal care, and personal development to our customers. This will involve working collaboratively with the customer to identify their goals and aspirations, and developing a personalized plan to achieve these.

You will also be required to provide community living services that enable our customers to participate actively in their local community, feel valued, respected, and engaged in meaningful opportunities and relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and personal care to customers
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to achieve customer goals and aspirations
  • Work collaboratively with customers to identify and address their needs
  • Provide community living services that promote customer engagement and inclusion
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Transferrable skills in providing care and compassion to others
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers, and weekend shifts
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate (HLTAID0011) or willingness to obtain prior to commencing
  • Ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties in a respectful way
  • Capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job, including manual handling tasks
  • Good computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
