Senior Tailings Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tailings Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of civil and geotechnical engineering principles, with direct relevant experience in a consulting environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to clients on tailings management studies, tailings storage facility design, and mine site civil infrastructure design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design;
  • Geotechnical analyses using various software packages;
  • Tailing deposition modelling (Muk3D) understanding;
  • Geotechnical and environmental site characterisation;
  • Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
  • Project/task management and proposal preparation support;
  • Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field.
  • Professional registration.
  • 5 to 10+ years of consulting experience operating within a geotechnical practice group.
  • Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software.
  • Able to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment.
