We are the preferred tailings and geotechnical consultants for major Australian mining companies. Our recent establishment of an advanced testing facility, led by Dr. David Reid, underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence. Our expertise spans hydrogeology, geochemistry, geotechnical engineering, seismicity, and risk management, enabling us to assist clients in overcoming engineering challenges.

We invite applications for a Geotechnical / Tailings Engineer position based in Brisbane, at 70 Bowen Street, Spring Hill, QLD. This role is ideal for a talented, experienced professional eager to contribute to and manage challenging projects, including those where we serve as the Engineer of Record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design
  • Geotechnical analyses using various software packages
  • Understanding of tailing deposition modelling (Muk3D)
  • Geotechnical and environmental site characterisation
  • Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems
  • Project management and proposal support
  • Preparation of reports, design calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Client development
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's in civil or geotechnical engineering (required)
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Professional registration preferred
  • Engineer of Record (EoR) required
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience; 10+ preferred
  • Proficiency with geotechnical software
  • Knowledge of numerical modeling (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fieldwork and travel readiness
  • Valid Australian driver's license
