Launch Engineer

As a launch engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and deployment of our launch systems. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and test hardware components that ensure the safe and efficient transportation of spacecraft into orbit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing mechanical systems, including structures, mechanisms, and fluid power actuation systems
  • Performing structural, dynamic, thermal, and fluids analysis to determine requirements and optimize system performance
  • Collaborating with software and operation engineers to develop robust, fault-tolerant systems and software for launch mount operations

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of experience with CAD and FEA software packages
  • 1+ years of experience with mechanical or fluid systems design, analysis, and hands-on assembly (internship or project team experience qualify)

Preferred skills and experience include:

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis
  • 2+ years of hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems, preferably as a lead

Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
