Cloud Container Workload Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Container Workload Developer to build from the ground up across the end-to-end system for Azure Container Registry (ACR).
**About ACR:**
ACR builds, stores, secures, scans, replicates, and manages container images and artifacts with a fully managed, geo-replicated instance of OCI distribution.
It connects across environments, including Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Red Hat OpenShift, and across Azure services like App Service, Machine Learning, Azure Security Center, and Batch.
We also own services to streamline building, testing, pushing, and deploying images securely to Azure with ACR Tasks.
The Microsoft Artifact Registry (MAR) is also part of this effort, distributing 1P and 3P images.
We work with the Open Source Community to innovate and improve the registry as a cloud-native multi-artifact store.
As a developer on the ACR team, you will work with various Azure technologies to build and maintain this massively scalable cloud service.
You will help design, build, and validate components needed to maintain, scale, and make Azure Container Registry the best choice for storing images for container workloads.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Determines user requirements for features with stakeholders.
- Develops design documents for product features with minimal oversight.
- Crafts code for products, services, or features, reusing code where applicable.
- Creates automated tests for production code and contributes to service quality by authorizing health metrics and monitors.
- Breaks down larger work items into smaller tasks and provides estimation.
- Serves as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) on-call to monitor the service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and recommends actions to restore service by following the playbook.
- FOLLOWs a Follow the Sun model with coverage across locations.
- Remains current in skills to improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products and to drive consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
