Job Title: Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will have experience working with automated manufacturing lines, a strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will also need to have a thorough understanding of safety procedures, HACCP protocols, and the ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Operate and maintain machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs);
  • Conduct quality checks and report any issues to supervisors;
  • Maintain product standards and monitor for any defects;
  • Participate in maintenance, continuous improvement, and team meetings;
  • Undertake housekeeping and cleaning responsibilities.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in fast-paced FMCG environments, ideally within the food industry;
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written;
  • Thorough understanding of safety, health, and environmental procedures, as well as HACCP protocols;
  • Previous experience working automated manufacturing lines;
  • Commitment to day shift hours;
  • Fully utilised capacity to understand and follow SOPs and adhere to written instructions.
