Senior Academic Services Manager

Description:

• Full-time position with Continuing contract type and Flexible Working Arrangements.

• Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of a reputable institution.

About the Role

This strategic role plays a pivotal part in leading and managing services that support students and elevate various departments. The successful candidate will foster a culture of service excellence, inspiring the team to implement impactful improvements enhancing student satisfaction and streamlining processes, creating a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of management, implementation, and effective utilization of academic administration systems.
  • Resolution of student issues and inquiries and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Deliver crucial administrative and project support to teaching staff and students.
  • Engage collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders providing expert guidance on protocols, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated management skills with extensive experience in high-level support, advice, and stakeholder engagement within a large complex organization.
  • High level knowledge of Learning and Teaching/academic policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage and provide leadership as a team manager and change agent within a large organization.
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills including complaint handling, building and maintaining working relationships for mutual benefit.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive relevant experience in leading teams and projects.
