About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Civil Structures team in Newcastle. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for developing deliverables ranging from condition investigation reports to presentation of analyses and design documentation in accordance with Australian standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop concept solutions for Water, Transportation, and/or Energy infrastructure projects
  • Inspect and assess existing structural assets
  • Deliver analysis and design of solutions for Water, Transportation, and/or Energy infrastructure projects
  • Support construction-related activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Extensive experience in Water, Transportation, and/or Energy Infrastructure projects
  • Strong competency in project and commercial management
  • Mature engineering judgment while contributing to the design and development of engineering solutions
  • Capability in planning and organization of tasks, people, project programs, and fee proposals
  • Ability to undertake/lead/oversee the development of structural analysis and design
  • Ability to prepare written design reports, technical specifications, and other technical documentation
  • Sound understanding of and capability with the application of relevant structural design methods, Australian standards, client specifications, and structural engineering software
