Electrical Engineer Position Overview

As a seasoned electrical engineer, you will play a key role in designing and specifying electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas. This position presents an opportunity to leverage your expertise in functional safety lifecycle documentations, including the development of LOPA methods from process safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of 7-10 years of experience as an engineer in Australia. They should possess strong technical knowledge and skills, including proficiency in electrical system calculations and experience conducting early-stage studies for electrical and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas
  • Develop LOPA methods from process safety standards
  • Conduct electrical system calculations and early-stage studies
  • Lead and motivate teams, overseeing the work of junior engineers and designers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience as an engineer in Australia
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in electrical system calculations and LOPA method development
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams

Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required for this position, with good communication skills essential for regular client interaction. Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and regulations is also necessary.
