About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a critical part in supporting our projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project management and site teams to execute tasks effectively
  • Carry out equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments for safety and quality compliance
  • Repair and overhaul heat exchangers
  • Perform basic pipefitting and flange management
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments
  • Communicate progress and potential issues proactively with stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Relevant trade qualification or experience in a mechanical or technical field
  • Prior experience in the mining or heavy industrial sectors is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in using technical tools and equipment related to the role
  • Current certifications such as First Aid, Working at Heights, and Confined Space Entry (valid within 2 years) are advantageous
  • Familiarity with heat exchanger servicing and repairs
  • Desirable certifications include MSMSS00017 - Use High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment, MSMSS00018 - Operate a High-Pressure Water Jetting System, BASIC Rigging, HR Truck license, and Knowledge of bolting/unbolting and flange management
