Ashurst is seeking a senior intellectual property lawyer to join our high-performing team in Sydney.
**About the Role**
We are looking for an experienced IP lawyer with 2-4 years of experience in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters. You will work closely with our four partners in Sydney, acting on significant IP and media disputes, trade mark prosecutions, and commercial transactions.
**Key Responsibilities**
Acting in IP and media disputes, including trade marks, copyright, patents, trade secrets, defamation, tech, online safety, and advertising and consumer law spaces.
Advising on trade mark prosecution and related matters, including clearance searches, adverse reports, evidence of use, negotiating consent and settlement arrangements, and preparing trade mark agreements.
Conducting patent infringement and revocation cases in the Patent Office and Federal Court, trade mark opposition and removal actions in the Trade Marks Office, trade mark infringement and cancellation proceedings in the Federal Court.
Advising on ancillary areas, such as regulation and advertising of food and beverage products, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, domain name disputes, complex project and commercial transactions, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP and media provisions in infrastructure projects, energy transition projects, undertaking IP due diligence in M&A projects, and negotiating major rights, advising on television and film production arrangements, and media regulatory issues.
