About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Human Resources Manager to join our team at Stamford Plaza Brisbane. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and coaching to our department managers across all stages of the employee life cycle. Your primary focus will be on managing recruitment and retention, actively coaching through performance management, and conducting workplace investigations and providing guidance on all people-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all aspects of recruitment and retention, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Providing coaching and guidance to department managers on performance management, employee development, and conflict resolution.
- Conducting workplace investigations and providing recommendations for resolution.
- Managing employee relations, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Collaborating with department managers to identify training needs and developing training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Managing the employee relations cycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR, preferably in a large complex organization.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR trends.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processes.
- A strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its unique challenges.
