About the Role

The Director of AI and Data Governance will be responsible for developing and implementing governance frameworks and programs to ensure the ethical use of AI systems and the efficient management of data assets. This role will focus on promoting responsible AI adoption and ensuring that AI systems are fair, transparent, and accountable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration of AI governance principles with existing data governance frameworks.
  • Develop and implement future-proof AI and data governance enablement frameworks.
  • Design and deliver literacy training programs to educate and empower teams on data governance principles and responsible AI practices.
  • Build strong relationships with Data Owners, Data Stewards, AI stakeholders, IT, legal, compliance, and business units.
  • Supervise and report on metrics, risks, and issues.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to business partners on data governance and AI ethics issues.
  • Conduct AI ethics reviews and bias audits.
Requirements
  • Extensive leadership experience in data and AI governance.
  • Solid understanding of data and AI governance principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Project management and program execution skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing data governance programs and improving data literacy.
  • Solid understanding of responsible AI principles, AI/ML model development, and data quality and protection.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire change.
