AusNet Services is seeking a skilled Field Metering Technician to join our team in the Eastern regions of Victoria. As a Field Metering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, testing, and maintenance of metering installations across our network.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Testing: Install and test a wide range of metering installations, including LV WC & CT Meters, HV Meters, and Communication devices.
- Fault Rectification: Identify and rectify faults in metering installations to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit reports on non-compliance issues and recommend technical improvements or corrective actions.
- Safety and Quality: Provide support in the creation and maintenance of Safety & Quality Standards, Work Practices, Procedures, and Metering Standards.
- Technical Audits: Conduct field-based technical audits to ensure adherence to safety, compliance, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Change Management: Support business systems, processes, and equipment upgrades and enhancements.
- Work Prioritization: Prioritize works based on criticality, service levels, and customer commitments.
- Data Capture: Accurately capture and deliver data from field to office.
- Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence.
- A Grade Electrical Licence: Hold an A Grade Electrical Licence.
- Relevant Training: Have relevant VESI training, with refreshers available if needed.
- Core Competencies: Possess core competencies and experience in LV WC and CT Metering, Meter Testing, and CT Testing.
- HV Experience: Have experience in HV Metering, although not essential.
- Travel: Be willing to travel occasionally, including overnight stays and possible interstate travel.
