About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Alliance Airlines. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our stock holdings and part out materials to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage the distribution of national stock holdings and part out materials, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of the Alliance Airlines fleet.
  • Inventory Optimization: Implement inventory management best practices, improving operational efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Inventory Control: Responsible for the refinement of inventory holdings, review and processing out of obsolete or not applicable parts, and escalation of issues and opportunities to the Procurement department managers.
  • Inventory Reporting: Liaise with finance to ensure all inventory costs are accurately transacted.
  • Inventory Analysis: Identify repair material opportunity to support reliability and compliance best practice.
  • Inventory Operations: Perform activities in a timely and cost-effective manner, maintain and manage inventory in a cost-effective manner, and maintain adequate oversight of the inventory stock holdings.
  • Inventory Coordination: Coordinate stock movements when necessary, assist in local logistics activities, and identify and implement improved practices.
  • Inventory Communication: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Management, staff, and peers, and develop and maintain strong working relationships with Finance, Procurement, CAMO, and AMO stakeholders.
  • Inventory Compliance: Ensure employees are aware of and adhere to Company Safety and Security Policy & Procedures and ensure their actions are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.
Requirements
  • Logistics and Warehousing Experience: Logistics and Warehousing experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Supply Chain Experience: Experience in dealing with manufacturers and suppliers in relation to the supply or procurement of goods and services.
  • Inventory Systems Experience: Experience with computer-based inventory systems.
  • Aviation Industry Experience: Experience in the aviation industry.
  • Supply Chain Disciplines: Supply Chain and Warehousing disciplines.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the operational objectives of aviation regulations.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Awareness of matters relating to Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
Skills
  • Logical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to apply logic to processing of data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work in consultation with team members to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Focus on maintaining accuracy when completing tasks in accordance with work instructions.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility, with a willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary Education: Tertiary Education in Aviation, Supply Chain, or related discipline (advantageous).
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness: Dangerous Goods Awareness and Experience.
  • Forklift Licence: Forklift Licence (desirable).
  • Driver License: Driver License.
