Chief Information Security Officer

This is a challenging role for a highly skilled Cyber Security Assurance Officer to join the HiTech Group and support assurance activities associated with platforms and services delivered by the department.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in ICT security, including developing security documentation such as System Security Plans and E8 Maturity model.
A key requirement of this position is demonstrated working knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Essential 8 Maturity Model, and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
Additionally, the successful candidate should have experience with ICT systems hosted on AWS Cloud and LAMP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop security documentation including System Security Plan and System Risk Management Plans.
- Update artefacts supporting the Security framework.
- Assist with external reviews including Information Security Registered Assessor Program assessments and penetration testing.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years' ICT security experience including developing security documentation.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential 8 Maturity Model.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of ICT systems hosted on AWS Cloud and LAMP environment.
- Working knowledge of GovCMS platform, highly desirable.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards. The successful candidate will be offered an initial 12 month contract with 2 x 6 month extension options.
