Design Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design Structural Engineer to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your existing maritime structural experience and apply it to deliver everything from concept designs through to construction phase support.

You will be involved in the design and planning activities for large scale multi-discipline maritime facilities for various industries, including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability (hydrogen terminals).

As a key member of our engineering team, you will have opportunities for leadership (project management and design management), and business development (proposal preparation and client positioning).

The role involves leveraging your existing maritime structural experience to lead the technical delivery of new and interesting projects.

  • Structural design including reinforced concrete and steel in the marine environment
  • Design, evaluation, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures
  • Design of berthing and mooring systems
  • Using structural analysis software
  • Working with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector
  • Maintaining knowledge of maritime Australian and international design codes and guidelines

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in structural design
  • Chartered Professional Engineer or ability to get chartership within an agreed timeframe
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance
